Fruit custard recipe in 15 minutes

Posted on April 6, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a quick fruit custard recipe you can make in about 15 minutes:

Ingredients (serves 2–3)

  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons custard powder (vanilla flavor)
  • 3–4 tablespoons sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 cup mixed fruits (apple, banana, grapes, papaya, berries – chopped)

Steps

  1. Mix custard powder
    • Take 2 tablespoons of custard powder in a small bowl.
    • Add ¼ cup cold milk and mix to a smooth paste (no lumps).
  2. Heat milk
    • In a saucepan, bring 1¾ cups of milk to a gentle boil.
    • Add sugar and stir until dissolved.
  3. Add custard mixture
    • Reduce heat to low.
    • Slowly pour the custard paste into the hot milk, stirring continuously.
    • Cook for 2–3 minutes until the custard thickens.
  4. Cool down
    • Remove from heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
    • For faster cooling, you can place it in the fridge for 5 minutes.
  5. Add fruits
    • Once slightly cool, add the chopped fruits.
    • Mix gently. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

💡 Tips:

  • Avoid adding bananas until just before serving; they can brown if left too long.
  • For a creamier custard, you can replace ½ cup of milk with cream.

If you want, I can give a version with no-cook shortcut that makes it even faster—ready in 10 minutes! Do you want me to share that?
