Ingredients
Salmon
- 450 g (1 lb) salmon, skin removed, cut into bite-size cubes
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika (or smoked paprika)
- Salt & black pepper
Crispy coating (choose one)
- Cornstarch (light, very crispy), or
- Panko breadcrumbs (extra crunch)
Bang Bang Sauce
- ⅓ cup mayonnaise
- 2–3 tbsp sweet chili sauce
- 1–2 tsp sriracha (to taste)
- 1 tsp honey or sugar
- 1 tsp lime juice or rice vinegar
Instructions
1. Prep the salmon
- Pat salmon dry (important for crispiness).
- Toss with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Lightly coat with cornstarch or panko.
2. Cook (best options)
Air Fryer (recommended)
- Preheat to 200°C / 400°F
- Air fry 7–9 minutes, shaking halfway, until golden and cooked through.
Pan-Fry
- Heat oil over medium-high.
- Cook salmon in a single layer 2–3 minutes per side until crispy.
Oven
- Bake at 220°C / 425°F for 12–15 minutes, broil last 1–2 minutes for extra crisp.
3. Make the bang bang sauce
Mix mayo, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and lime juice until smooth.
4. Toss & serve
- Toss salmon gently in sauce or drizzle on top to keep them extra crispy.
- Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
