🌿 Clove Tea

Ingredients (1–2 cups)

  • 4–6 whole cloves
  • 1–2 cups water
  • Optional flavorings:
    • 1 small cinnamon stick
    • 1 slice fresh ginger
    • 1–2 tsp honey or sugar
    • Lemon slice

Instructions

  1. Boil water: Bring water to a gentle boil in a small saucepan.
  2. Add cloves: Add cloves (and optional cinnamon or ginger). Reduce heat and simmer 5–10 minutes, depending on desired strength.
  3. Strain: Remove cloves (and other solids) using a fine mesh strainer.
  4. Sweeten & flavor: Add honey or sugar to taste, and a slice of lemon if desired.
  5. Serve: Sip warm.

  • Stronger tea: Smash cloves lightly before boiling to release more flavor.
  • Soothing variation: Add a pinch of cardamom or star anise for an aromatic twist.
