Caramel chocolate pretzels

Posted on January 23, 2026 by Admin

Ah, Caramel Chocolate Pretzels — sweet, salty, and irresistibly crunchy 🍫🥨🍯. They’re a perfect snack or gift treat. Here’s a simple recipe:

🍫🥨 Caramel Chocolate Pretzels

Ingredients (makes ~24 treats)

  • 24 small pretzel twists or rods
  • ½ cup (115 g) unsalted butter
  • ½ cup (100 g) brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tbsp corn syrup or honey
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 oz (115 g) semisweet or milk chocolate, chopped or chips

Instructions

  1. Prep pan: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange pretzels in a single layer.
  2. Make caramel:
    • In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter.
    • Stir in brown sugar, corn syrup, and salt.
    • Bring to a gentle boil and cook 2–3 minutes, stirring constantly.
    • Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
  3. Coat pretzels: Spoon or drizzle caramel over each pretzel. Let cool slightly until firm but still tacky.
  4. Add chocolate: Melt chocolate in a microwave or double boiler. Drizzle over the caramel-coated pretzels or dip them halfway.
  5. Set: Place on parchment and refrigerate 15–20 minutes until chocolate and caramel are firm.
  6. Serve: Enjoy as a sweet & salty treat.

Tips

  • Prevent sticking: Let caramel cool slightly before topping with chocolate.
  • Extra crunch: Sprinkle crushed nuts or sea salt over chocolate before it sets.
  • Storage: Keep in an airtight container at room temperature for 3–5 days.

I can also give a one-bowl, no-bake version that’s perfect for making quickly and uses fewer steps but still tastes decadent.

Do you want that quick version?
