Here’s a teen-friendly strawberry cake recipe—sweet, fruity, and perfect for any occasion! 🍓🎂


Ingredients (makes 8–10 servings)

For the cake:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped

For the frosting (optional):

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2–3 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Sliced strawberries for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8-inch round cake pan.
  2. Mix dry ingredients: In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cream butter and sugar: In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
  4. Combine: Alternately add dry ingredients and milk to the butter mixture, mixing just until combined.
  5. Fold in strawberries: Gently fold chopped strawberries into the batter.
  6. Bake: Pour batter into the prepared pan. Bake 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool completely.
  7. Optional frosting:
    • Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
    • Frost the cooled cake and top with sliced strawberries.

Tips & Variations

  • Extra strawberry flavor: Puree some strawberries and swirl into the batter.
  • Cheesy twist: Add a layer of cream cheese frosting for a tangy contrast.
  • Mini cakes: Bake in muffin tins for strawberry cupcakes instead.
