Spaghetti squash

Posted on January 1, 2026 by Admin

Spaghetti squash is a fun and healthy veggie that turns into noodle-like strands when cooked 🍝🎃

What it is

  • A yellow, oval winter squash
  • Mild, slightly sweet flavor
  • When cooked, the flesh separates into strands that look like spaghetti

How to cook it (easy ways)

Roast (most popular):

  1. Cut in half lengthwise and scoop out seeds.
  2. Brush with olive oil, sprinkle with salt.
  3. Roast cut-side down at 400°F (200°C) for 35–45 minutes.
  4. Scrape with a fork to make “noodles.”

Microwave (fast):

  • Cook halves cut-side down with a little water for 10–12 minutes.

How to serve it

  • With marinara or Alfredo sauce
  • Tossed with butter, garlic, and Parmesan
  • As a low-carb substitute for pasta
  • Mixed with veggies or lean protein

It’s light, filling, and super versatile.

If you want, I can give you a simple spaghetti squash recipe or ideas for tasty toppings.
