🐖 Slow Cooker Pork Chops (Smothered & Tender)

Ingredients

  • 4–6 pork chops (bone-in preferred, ¾–1 inch thick)
  • Salt & black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (optional, for searing)
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • Optional: mushrooms, thyme, splash of Worcestershire

Instructions

  1. Season pork chops with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
  2. (Optional but recommended) Sear chops in a hot skillet with oil, 2 minutes per side for flavor.
  3. Layer onions (and mushrooms if using) in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  4. Place pork chops on top.
  5. Whisk soup and broth (plus Worcestershire if using). Pour over chops.
  6. Cover and cook:
    • LOW: 6–7 hours
    • HIGH: 3–4 hours (LOW is best for tenderness)
