🍎 Quick and Easy Baked Apple Fritters

These baked apple fritters are a lighter, easy-to-make version of the classic fried treat. Sweet, soft inside, slightly crisp outside, and perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert.

🧾 Ingredients

  • 2 medium Apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt
  • ⅓ cup Milk
  • 1 large Egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • Optional glaze: ½ cup Powdered sugar + 1–2 tablespoons milk

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine milk, egg, and vanilla extract.
  4. Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chopped apples.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of the batter onto the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 12–15 minutes, until golden and set.
  8. Optional: drizzle with a simple powdered sugar glaze once slightly cooled.

🍽️ Tips

  • Use firm apples like Fuji, Honeycrisp, or Granny Smith so the fritters hold shape.
  • Don’t overmix the batter; it keeps fritters light and tender.
  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg or a splash of maple syrup to the glaze.

✅ These baked fritters are lower in fat than fried ones but still sweet and satisfying.

If you want, I can also provide a 5-minute microwave version that’s super quick for a last-minute treat.
