Quiche

Posted on December 29, 2025 by Admin

Here’s a classic Quiche recipe 🥧—savory, creamy, and perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dinner.

Ingredients (1 9-inch quiche)

  • 1 unbaked pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream or half-and-half
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or Gruyère)
  • 1 cup cooked fillings (bacon, ham, spinach, mushrooms, or vegetables)
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • Optional: ¼ tsp nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven
    • 375°F (190°C).
    • Place pie crust in a 9-inch pie pan and set aside.
  2. Prepare filling
    • Spread cooked fillings evenly over the pie crust.
    • Sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
  3. Mix custard
    • In a bowl, whisk together eggs, cream, salt, pepper, and nutmeg (if using).
  4. Assemble quiche
    • Pour custard mixture over the fillings and cheese in the crust.
  5. Bake
    • Bake 35–45 minutes, until the custard is set and the top is lightly golden.
    • Let cool 5–10 minutes before slicing.

Tips & Variations

  • Vegetarian: use spinach, broccoli, zucchini, or bell peppers as fillings.
  • Make ahead: quiche can be baked ahead of time and served warm or at room temperature.
  • Mini quiches: bake in muffin tins for individual servings (about 20–25 minutes).
  • Flavor boost: add fresh herbs like thyme, chives, or parsley.

I can also give a crustless quiche version or a smoked salmon and dill quiche if you want.
