Pork chop

Posted on January 26, 2026 by Admin

Ahhh, the humble pork chop 🥩—simple, juicy, and versatile. Let’s make it tender, flavorful, and slightly caramelized.

🐖 Pan-Seared Pork Chop (Quick & Juicy)

Ingredients

  • 2 bone-in or boneless pork chops (about 1-inch thick)
  • Salt & black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika or smoked paprika (optional for depth)
  • 1–2 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, smashed
  • 1 sprig rosemary or thyme (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep chops: Pat dry. Season both sides generously with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Heat pan: Medium-high heat, add oil/butter until shimmering.
  3. Sear chops: Cook 4–5 minutes per side (depending on thickness) until golden brown.
  4. Add aromatics: In the last minute, add garlic and herbs; spoon melted butter over chops for flavor.
  5. Check doneness: Internal temp 145°F / 63°C. Let rest 3–5 minutes before slicing.

🔥 Pro Tips

  • Let chops sit at room temp 15 min before cooking for even cooking
  • Don’t overcrowd the pan; cook in batches if needed
  • Use bone-in for extra flavor and juiciness
  • Finish with a squeeze of lemon or drizzle of balsamic glaze for a punch

🍽️ Serving Ideas

  • Mashed potatoes or roasted veggies
  • Apple sauce or caramelized onions
  • Simple salad or garlic green beans

I can also give a baked version, honey-garlic glaze, or crispy breaded skillet style that’s absolutely next-level. Which style do you want?
