🥩 Pork Chops (Juicy & Flavorful)

A classic, versatile protein—pan-seared, baked, or grilled. Here’s a simple pan-seared method.


Ingredients (4 servings)

  • 4 pork chops (bone-in or boneless, about 1–1.5 cm thick)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 tsp paprika or herbs (rosemary, thyme)

Instructions

  1. Prepare pork chops:
    • Pat chops dry. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and optional spices.
  2. Heat pan:
    • Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Cook pork chops:
    • Add chops and cook 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 63°C / 145°F.
    • For thicker chops, reduce heat and cover for 2–3 minutes to cook through.
  4. Rest:
    • Remove from pan and let rest 3–5 minutes before serving.
  5. Serve:
    • Serve with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a simple salad.

Tips

  • Don’t overcrowd the pan—cook in batches if needed.
  • Add a pat of butter and fresh herbs during the last minute for extra flavor.
  • For a saucy version, deglaze the pan with a splash of broth, wine, or cream after cooking the chops.
