🥩 Pepper Steak
Ingredients (2–3 servings)
- 1 lb (450 g) beef sirloin or flank steak, sliced thin against the grain
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 bell peppers, sliced (any color)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ cup beef broth
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional)
- ½ tsp black pepper (or more to taste)
- Salt to taste
- Optional: green onions or sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Marinate beef
- Toss beef with 1 tbsp soy sauce and cornstarch. Set aside 10–15 minutes.
- Cook beef
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan over high heat.
- Quickly sear beef until browned but not fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
- Cook vegetables
- Add remaining oil. Sauté onions and bell peppers 2–3 minutes until slightly soft.
