Here’s a simple, fluffy pancake recipe 🥞—easy and perfect for breakfast.

Classic Pancakes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp melted butter or oil
  • ½ tsp vanilla (optional)

Steps

  1. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Mix wet ingredients in another bowl.
  3. Combine wet into dry—stir just until mixed (a few lumps are okay).
  4. Heat skillet on medium and lightly grease.
  5. Cook pancakes:
    • Pour about ¼ cup batter per pancake.
    • Cook until bubbles form, flip, cook 1–2 minutes more.
  6. Serve warm with syrup, butter, or fruit.

Tips & Variations

  • Extra fluffy: Let batter rest 5 minutes before cooking.
  • Blueberry or chocolate chip: Sprinkle on top before flipping.
  • Banana pancakes: Mash ½ banana into batter.
  • No milk: Use water or plant-based milk.
