Here’s a classic, juicy Meatloaf recipe 🍖
Ingredients (serves ~4–6)
- 1 ½ lb ground beef (or a mix of beef & pork)
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- ½ cup milk
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- Optional: ½ tsp paprika or dried herbs
Optional Topping
- ¼ cup ketchup
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven
350°F (175°C). - Prepare meatloaf
- In a bowl, mix ground meat, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Shape into a loaf and place in a greased 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- Add topping (optional)
- Mix ketchup and brown sugar and spread over the top of the loaf.
- Bake
55–65 minutes until cooked through (internal temp 160°F / 71°C). - Rest & serve
Let meatloaf rest 5–10 minutes before slicing. Serve with mashed potatoes, vegetables, or gravy.
Tips
- Use 80/20 ground beef for juicier meatloaf.
- Can add chopped bell peppers, mushrooms, or shredded cheese to the mix.
- Leftovers make great sandwiches the next day.
