Honey Garlic Shrimp, Sausage & Broccoli (Serves 3β4)
Ingredients
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled & deveined
- 12β14 oz smoked sausage (Andouille or kielbasa), sliced
- 3 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Honey Garlic Sauce
- β cup honey
- ΒΌ cup soy sauce (low sodium preferred)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar or lemon juice
- Β½ tsp black pepper
- Optional heat: red pepper flakes or sriracha
Instructions
- Sear the sausage
- Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add sausage slices and brown 3β4 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- Cook the broccoli
- Add remaining oil to the pan.
- Add broccoli and cook 3β4 minutes until bright green and lightly charred.
- Add a splash of water, cover 1β2 minutes to steam until tender-crisp.
- Cook the shrimp
- Add shrimp to the skillet. Season lightly with pepper.
- Cook 1β2 minutes per side until just pink.
- Make it saucy
- Return sausage to the pan.
- Pour in honey garlic sauce.
- Simmer 2β3 minutes until sauce thickens and coats everything.
- Finish & serve
- Taste and adjust (more honey = sweeter, more soy = saltier).
