Ingredients

Ribs

  • 2–3 lb (1–1.4 kg) pork ribs (baby back or spare ribs)

Honey Garlic Sauce

  • Β½ cup honey
  • ΒΌ cup soy sauce
  • 4–5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil (optional)
  • Β½ tsp black pepper
  • Optional heat: chili flakes or sriracha

Instructions

1. Prepare the ribs

  1. Preheat oven to 325Β°F / 165Β°C.
  2. Remove membrane from the back of ribs (important for tenderness).
  3. Season ribs lightly with salt and pepper.
  4. Place ribs on a foil-lined baking sheet; cover tightly with foil.

2. Bake low & slow

  • Bake 1½–2 hours, until ribs are tender.

3. Make the honey garlic sauce

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, soy sauce, garlic, ketchup, brown sugar, vinegar, sesame oil, and pepper.
  2. Simmer 5–8 minutes, stirring, until slightly thickened.

4. Glaze & caramelize

  1. Remove foil from ribs.
  2. Brush generously with honey garlic sauce.
  3. Increase oven to 425Β°F / 220Β°C.
  4. Bake uncovered 10–15 minutes, brushing once more, until sticky and caramelized.

Optional: Broil 2–3 minutes for extra char (watch closely).

  • After baking, finish ribs on a hot grill for 3–5 minutes per side, brushing with sauce.
