Here’s a classic Ground Beef and Potatoes recipe 🥩🥔
Simple, hearty, and perfect for an easy weeknight meal.

Ingredients (serves 4)

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp oil or butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Optional: ½ tsp dried thyme or Italian seasoning
  • Optional add-ins: peas, carrots, or corn

Instructions

  1. Cook potatoes
    • Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
    • Add diced potatoes, season lightly with salt and pepper.
    • Cook 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender and lightly browned.
    • Remove from skillet and set aside.
  2. Brown ground beef
    • Add remaining oil to skillet.
    • Cook ground beef with onion until browned and onion is soft.
    • Drain excess fat if needed.
    • Add garlic, paprika, thyme (if using), salt, and pepper.
  3. Combine
    • Return potatoes to skillet.
    • Stir everything together and cook 5 more minutes so flavors blend.
  4. Serve
    • Serve hot as-is or with bread, rice, or a simple salad.

Variations

  • Cheesy version: sprinkle shredded cheddar on top and cover until melted.
  • Southern style: add a splash of beef broth and a little gravy.
  • One-pan casserole: transfer to baking dish, top with cheese, bake at 375°F for 15 minutes.
  • Spicy: add chili powder or crushed red pepper.

If you want, I can also give you a hamburger & potato casserole, skillet version with gravy, or a slow-cooker recipe.
