Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread (white, sourdough, or whole wheat)
  • 1–2 slices of cheese (cheddar, American, mozzarella, or a mix)
  • Butter (or mayo)

Steps

  1. Heat a pan on medium-low.
  2. Butter one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Place one slice in the pan, butter-side down.
  4. Add cheese on top.
  5. Cover with the second slice, butter-side up.
  6. Cook 2–4 minutes per side until golden brown and the cheese is melted.

  • Cover the pan for 30–60 seconds to help the cheese melt
