Here’s a classic Grilled Cheese Sandwich 🥪🧀—crispy, buttery, and melty every time.


Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Ingredients (1 sandwich)

  • 2 slices of bread (white, whole wheat, or sourdough)
  • 2–3 slices of cheese (cheddar, American, Swiss, or a mix)
  • 1–2 tsp butter

Instructions

  1. Butter the bread
    • Spread butter evenly on one side of each slice.
  2. Assemble sandwich
    • Place cheese between the unbuttered sides of the bread (buttered sides face out).
  3. Cook
    • Heat a skillet over medium-low heat.
    • Place sandwich in skillet and cook 3–4 minutes until golden brown.
    • Flip carefully and cook 2–3 more minutes until the other side is golden and cheese is melted.
  4. Serve
    • Slice in half and enjoy warm.

Tips

  • Cheese melt: Cover the skillet briefly with a lid to help the cheese melt without burning the bread.
  • Extra flavor: Add tomato slices, caramelized onions, or cooked bacon.
  • Crispy edges: Use a little more butter and cook slowly over medium-low heat.
  • Cheese combo: Try sharp cheddar + mozzarella for gooey stretch and flavor.
