Garlic mushrooms

Here’s a simple, flavorful garlic mushrooms recipe 🍄🧄

Garlic Mushrooms

Ingredients (serves ~2–3)

  • 1 lb (450 g) mushrooms (button or cremini), cleaned and sliced or halved
  • 2–3 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 3–4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme or parsley (optional)
  • Optional: splash of white wine or lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Heat pan
    Heat olive oil or butter over medium-high heat in a skillet.
  2. Cook mushrooms
    Add mushrooms in a single layer. Let them cook 3–4 minutes without stirring to brown nicely.
    Stir occasionally for another 3–4 minutes until golden.
  3. Add garlic
    Add minced garlic and cook 30–60 seconds until fragrant. Don’t burn it.
  4. Season
    Add salt, pepper, and herbs. Optional: splash with wine or lemon juice for extra flavor.
  5. Serve
    Serve hot as a side dish or over steak, chicken, pasta, or rice.

Tips

  • For extra richness, finish with a pat of butter.
  • Avoid overcrowding the pan; cook in batches if needed.
  • Can add sautéed onions or shallots for more depth.
