🦞🦪 Garlic Butter Lobster & Scallops (Rich & Decadent Seafood Dish)
Tender lobster and scallops cooked in a garlicky, buttery sauce—perfect for a special dinner.
Ingredients (2 servings)
- 1 lobster tail (or 2 small tails)
- 6–8 large sea scallops
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt & black pepper to taste
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare lobster & scallops
- If frozen, thaw seafood. Pat dry with paper towels.
- Season lightly with salt and pepper.
- Cook lobster
- In a skillet, heat 1 tbsp butter + olive oil over medium heat.
- Add lobster tail, flesh-side down first, and cook 3–4 minutes per side until opaque and slightly firm. Remove and set aside.
- Cook scallops
- In the same skillet, add remaining butter.
- Sear scallops 1½–2 minutes per side until golden brown and just cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- Make garlic butter sauce
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté 30 seconds.
- Stir in butter and lemon juice.
- Combine & serve
- Return lobster and scallops to skillet and spoon garlic butter over them.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
Tips
- Do not overcook scallops or lobster—they should be tender, not rubbery.
- Serve with steamed vegetables, rice, or crusty bread to soak up the butter sauce.
- Add a splash of white wine while making the garlic butter for extra depth.
I can also give a one-pan version with pasta for a full meal or a broiled garlic butter lobster & scallops method if you want.
