🦞🦪 Garlic Butter Lobster & Scallops (Rich & Decadent Seafood Dish)

Tender lobster and scallops cooked in a garlicky, buttery sauce—perfect for a special dinner.

Ingredients (2 servings)

  • 1 lobster tail (or 2 small tails)
  • 6–8 large sea scallops
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare lobster & scallops
    • If frozen, thaw seafood. Pat dry with paper towels.
    • Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  2. Cook lobster
    • In a skillet, heat 1 tbsp butter + olive oil over medium heat.
    • Add lobster tail, flesh-side down first, and cook 3–4 minutes per side until opaque and slightly firm. Remove and set aside.
  3. Cook scallops
    • In the same skillet, add remaining butter.
    • Sear scallops 1½–2 minutes per side until golden brown and just cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  4. Make garlic butter sauce
    • In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté 30 seconds.
    • Stir in butter and lemon juice.
  5. Combine & serve
    • Return lobster and scallops to skillet and spoon garlic butter over them.
    • Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Tips

  • Do not overcook scallops or lobster—they should be tender, not rubbery.
  • Serve with steamed vegetables, rice, or crusty bread to soak up the butter sauce.
  • Add a splash of white wine while making the garlic butter for extra depth.

I can also give a one-pan version with pasta for a full meal or a broiled garlic butter lobster & scallops method if you want.
