Easy Fried Chicken
Ingredients
- 2–3 lb chicken pieces
- 2 cups buttermilk (or milk + 1 tbsp vinegar)
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- Oil for frying
Steps
- Soak chicken in buttermilk with salt & pepper for 1–24 hours.
- Mix flour + spices in a bowl.
- Dredge chicken in seasoned flour (double-dip for extra crunch).
- Heat oil to 350°F / 175°C.
- Fry in batches, 12–15 min, turning until golden and cooked (165°F inside).
- Drain & rest 5 minutes. Serve hot.
