Fried cauliflower 🥦🔥 is a delicious way to turn humble cauliflower into a crispy, flavorful side or snack. It can be deep-fried, pan-fried, or air-fried, and is often coated in a batter or seasoned breadcrumbs.


Main Ingredients

  • cauliflower – cut into florets
  • flour or breadcrumbs for coating
  • oil – vegetable, canola, or sunflower oil
  • Optional: spices (paprika, garlic powder, salt, pepper)

Basic Pan-Fried Cauliflower

Ingredients

  • 1 medium head cauliflower, cut into florets
  • ½ cup flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp paprika or optional spices
  • 3–4 tbsp oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, salt, pepper, and spices in a bowl.
  2. Toss cauliflower florets in the flour mixture until coated.
  3. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Fry florets in batches for 4–5 minutes per side, until golden and crispy.
  5. Drain on paper towels and serve immediately.

Serving Ideas

  • Toss with garlic butter or a squeeze of lemon juice 🍋
  • Serve with dipping sauces like ranch, aioli, or sweet chili
  • Add to salads or grain bowls for crunch

Fun twist: You could make buffalo-style fried cauliflower for a spicy, cheesy appetizer, pairing well with dishes like cheddar crunch bake or sloppy joes.
