🌮 Doritos Taco Salad (Quick & Crunchy)
A fun, crunchy taco-inspired salad that’s perfect for lunch or dinner.
Ingredients (4 servings)
- 200–250 g ground beef or turkey
- 1 packet taco seasoning (or homemade: chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, paprika, salt)
- 4 cups chopped lettuce
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- ½ cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
- ½ cup corn kernels (optional)
- 1 avocado, diced (optional)
- 1 cup crushed Doritos (Nacho Cheese or your favorite flavor)
- Sour cream, salsa, or ranch dressing for topping
Instructions
- Cook meat:
- In a pan, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned.
- Drain excess fat and stir in taco seasoning (add a little water if needed).
- Assemble salad:
- In a large bowl, combine lettuce, tomatoes, corn, avocado, and cheese.
- Add cooked taco meat and toss lightly.
- Add Doritos:
- Just before serving, sprinkle crushed Doritos on top for crunch.
- Serve:
- Drizzle with sour cream, salsa, or dressing of choice. Serve immediately.
Tips
- Use taco shells or tortillas on the side for extra crunch.
- You can make it vegetarian by replacing meat with black beans or lentils.
- Add jalapeños or hot sauce if you like it spicy 🌶️.
