🫒 Dipping Oil (Simple & Flavorful)

A quick and tasty oil for dipping bread, perfect as an appetizer or snack.


Ingredients (for 1 small bowl)

  • ½ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1–2 cloves garlic, minced (optional)
  • 1 tsp dried herbs (oregano, thyme, or rosemary)
  • ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional for heat)
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • Optional: balsamic vinegar or lemon juice splash

Instructions

  1. Mix ingredients:
    • In a small bowl, combine olive oil, garlic, herbs, salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes.
  2. Add flavor (optional):
    • Stir in a splash of balsamic vinegar or lemon juice for extra depth.
  3. Serve:
    • Drizzle over bread or pour into a shallow dish for dipping.
    • Serve at room temperature.

Tips

  • Use high-quality extra virgin olive oil for the best flavor.
  • Let the oil sit for 10–15 minutes before serving so the flavors meld.
  • You can experiment with herbs like basil, parsley, or chives.
  • For a spicier version, add a pinch of smoked paprika or chili powder.
