Crockpot Turkey Wings
Ingredients
- 2–3 pounds turkey wings
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon dried thyme
- ½ teaspoon poultry seasoning
Instructions
- Prepare the Wings
- Rinse and pat dry the turkey wings.
- Rub them with olive oil and all the seasonings.
- Add to Crockpot
- Place sliced onions and garlic at the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Put the seasoned turkey wings on top.
- Add Liquid
- Pour chicken broth around the wings (not directly on top to keep seasoning in place).
- Cook
- Low: 6–7 hours
- High: 3–4 hours
- Wings are ready when very tender.
- Optional Crispy Finish
- Place cooked wings on a baking sheet and broil in the oven 5–7 minutes to brown the skin.
Optional Gravy
- Pour the cooking liquid into a saucepan.
- Mix 1 tablespoon cornstarch with 2 tablespoons water.
- Stir into the broth and cook until thickened.
