Crock Pot Cheesy Chicken

Here’s a creamy, comforting Crock Pot Cheesy Chicken recipe — easy, family-friendly, and perfect over rice or pasta.


🧀🍗 Crock Pot Cheesy Chicken

Ingredients (Serves 4–6)

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 block (8 oz) cream cheese, cubed
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • Optional: 1/2 tsp paprika or 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • Optional garnish: chopped parsley or green onions

Instructions

  1. Layer chicken
    Place chicken breasts in the crock pot. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and paprika if using.
  2. Add creamy base
    In a bowl, mix cream of chicken soup and broth. Pour over chicken. Add cubed cream cheese on top.
  3. Cook
    • LOW: 6–7 hours
    • HIGH: 3–4 hours
      Chicken should be tender and easy to shred.
  4. Shred & add cheese
    Shred chicken directly in the crock pot using two forks. Stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
  5. Serve
    Spoon over rice, egg noodles, mashed potatoes, or serve on toasted buns.

Optional Add-Ins

  • 🥦 Broccoli florets (add during last hour)
  • 🌶 Diced green chilies for a Tex-Mex twist
  • 🧄 Fresh minced garlic for deeper flavor
  • 🥓 Cooked bacon bits for extra richness

Storage

  • Refrigerator: up to 4 days
  • Freezer: up to 2 months
