Crispy Pan-Fried Halloumi Bites

Ingredients (serves 2–4)

  • 8 oz (225 g) halloumi cheese
  • 1–2 tbsp olive oil
  • Optional: black pepper, paprika, or chili flakes for seasoning
  • Optional: lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. Prep the halloumi
    • Cut the halloumi into bite-sized cubes or sticks.
    • Pat dry with a paper towel (removes excess moisture so it crisps better).
  2. Heat the pan
    • Heat olive oil in a nonstick or cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Fry the halloumi
    • Add the halloumi cubes in a single layer.
    • Cook 2–3 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
    • Don’t overcrowd the pan; fry in batches if needed.
  4. Season & serve
    • Sprinkle with black pepper, paprika, or chili flakes if desired.
