Ingredients (makes 12 sliders)

  • 12 slider buns (Hawaiian buns are popular for sweetness)
  • 2 cups cooked turkey, shredded or thinly sliced
  • ½ cup cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened (optional, for extra creaminess)
  • 2–3 tbsp mayonnaise (optional, mix with cream cheese for a spread)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or Swiss cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the buns
    • Slice the slider buns in half horizontally, keeping them attached as a block if baking together.
    • Place the bottom halves on a baking sheet.
  3. Make the spread (optional)
    • Mix cream cheese and mayonnaise (or just mayo) with a pinch of salt, pepper, and some thyme. Spread on the bottom buns.
  4. Layer the sliders
    • Add shredded turkey evenly over the bottom buns.
    • Spoon cranberry sauce over the turkey.
    • Sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
    • Place the top buns on.
  5. Garlic butter topping
    • Mix melted butter with garlic powder and brush over the tops of the buns.
  6. Bake
    • Cover with foil and bake for 10–12 minutes, until the cheese melts.
    • Remove foil and bake 5 more minutes for golden tops.
  7. Serve
    • Let cool slightly, then slice apart and serve warm.

  • Make-ahead: Assemble and refrigerate; bake right before serving.
  • Add greens: Layer spinach or arugula under the turkey for freshness.
  • Spicy twist: Add a thin layer of Dijon mustard or sriracha mayo.
