Chicken parmesan

Here’s a classic Chicken Parmesan recipe 🍗🧀🍅


Ingredients (serves ~2–3)

For the chicken

  • 2–3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1–2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (Italian-style or plain)
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2–3 tbsp olive oil

For assembly

  • 1 cup marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1–1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
  • Optional: fresh basil or parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prep chicken
    • Flatten chicken breasts to even thickness (~½ inch) using a meat mallet.
    • Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Bread chicken
    • Dredge chicken in flour, dip in beaten eggs, then coat with breadcrumb-Parmesan mixture.
  3. Cook chicken
    • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Cook chicken 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown (it doesn’t need to be fully cooked through, it will finish in the oven).
  4. Assemble
    • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
    • Place chicken in a baking dish.
    • Spoon marinara sauce over each piece.
    • Top with mozzarella and Parmesan.
  5. Bake
    Bake 15–20 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly, and chicken reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. Serve
    Garnish with fresh basil or parsley. Serve with pasta or a side salad.

Tips

  • Use fresh mozzarella for extra creaminess.
  • For a crispier chicken, broil for 1–2 minutes at the end.
  • Can add garlic powder or Italian seasoning to breadcrumbs for more flavor.

I can also give a crockpot version, air fryer version, or lighter baked version.
