Cheese bread

Here’s a simple, soft cheese bread recipe you can make at home 🧀🍞

Easy Cheese Bread (No special equipment)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp instant yeast
  • ¾ cup warm milk (not hot)
  • 2 tbsp butter or oil
  • 1 cup grated cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or mix)
  • Optional: garlic powder, herbs, chili flakes

Instructions

  1. Activate yeast: Mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Rest 5–10 min until foamy.
  2. Make dough: Add flour, salt, butter/oil. Knead until soft (8–10 min).
  3. First rise: Cover and let rise 1 hour or until doubled.
  4. Add cheese: Gently knead cheese into dough.
  5. Shape: Form into a loaf or rolls and place in a greased pan.
  6. Second rise: Rest 30 minutes.
  7. Bake: Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 25–30 minutes until golden.
  8. Brush with butter and cool slightly before slicing.

Quick Variations

  • Garlic cheese bread: Add minced garlic + parsley
  • Cheese-stuffed bread: Roll dough, fill with cheese, seal, then bake
  • No-yeast version: Use baking powder + yogurt (I can share if you want)
