Cheddar Crunch Bake 🧀✨ is a comforting, cheesy casserole that’s crispy on top and creamy inside. It’s perfect as a side dish for family dinners or potlucks.


Main Ingredients

  • cheddar cheese – shredded, for creamy flavor
  • bread crumbs – for the crunchy topping
  • eggs – helps hold the bake together
  • milk – makes the interior creamy
  • Optional: vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower, or peas

Simple Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1–2 cups cooked vegetables (optional)
  • ½ cup bread crumbs
  • 2 tbsp butter (for topping)
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Whisk eggs and milk together in a bowl.
  3. Stir in cheese, cooked vegetables (if using), salt, and pepper.
  4. Pour mixture into a greased baking dish.
  5. Mix bread crumbs with melted butter and sprinkle over the top.
  6. Bake 25–30 minutes, until the top is golden and crispy and the center is set.

Tips & Variations

  • Add crispy bacon 🥓 for extra flavor
  • Use different cheeses like Gruyère or Monterey Jack for a flavor twist
  • Sprinkle paprika or garlic powder on top for seasoning

This dish is essentially a cheesy, creamy casserole with a crunchy topping, perfect for pairing with roasted meats, fried cabbage, or a simple salad.

I can also make a shortcut version using frozen vegetables that still gets a golden cheddar crust if you want.
