Instructions
- Cook cabbage
- In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add cabbage and onion. Cook 5–7 minutes until slightly softened.
- Pour in broth, season with salt and pepper, and bring to a gentle boil.
- Make dumpling dough
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Stir in milk and melted butter until a thick, sticky dough forms.
- Add dumplings
- Reduce broth to a simmer.
- Drop spoonfuls of dumpling dough directly on top of the cabbage.
- Cover the pot tightly and do not lift the lid.
- Cook
- Simmer covered for 12–15 minutes until dumplings are fluffy and cooked through.
- Serve
