Here’s a classic, flavorful Burrito you can make at home—easy, customizable, and filling 🌯

🌯 Classic Beef Burrito (Serves 2–4)

Ingredients

Filling

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • ½ cup tomato sauce or salsa
  • 1 cup black beans or pinto beans (optional)

Burrito Base

  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup cooked rice (white, brown, or Mexican-style)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or Mexican blend)

Toppings (optional)

  • Sour cream
  • Guacamole or sliced avocado
  • Lettuce
  • Pico de gallo or salsa

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Cook the beef

  1. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Sauté onion until soft; add garlic for 30 seconds.
  3. Add ground beef and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  5. Add tomato sauce and beans; simmer 5–10 minutes.

2. Warm tortillas

  • Heat tortillas in a dry pan or microwave until soft and pliable.

3. Assemble burritos

  1. Lay tortilla flat.
  2. Add rice, beef mixture, cheese, and toppings.
  3. Fold sides inward, then roll tightly from the bottom.

4. Optional: Crisp the burrito

  • Place seam-side down in a hot pan for 1–2 minutes per side until golden.

🌶️ Variations

  • Chicken burrito: Swap beef for seasoned chicken breast
  • Veggie burrito: Use sautéed peppers, onions, corn, and beans
  • Breakfast burrito: Add scrambled eggs and potatoes
  • Wet burrito: Top with enchilada sauce and bake

💡 Tips

  • Don’t overfill—easier to roll
  • Layer rice first to absorb juices
  • Cheese melts better when added near hot filling

If you want, I can make this into a Chipotle-style burrito, a breakfast burrito, or a healthy low-carb version. Just tell me!
