Here’s a classic Buffalo Wing guide — crispy, spicy, and perfect for snacking or parties.


🍗 Buffalo Wings

Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 2 lbs (900 g) chicken wings, split at the joint, tips removed
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (optional for extra crispiness)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup hot sauce (like Frank’s RedHot)
  • Optional: garlic powder or smoked paprika for extra flavor

Instructions

1️⃣ Prep wings

  • Pat chicken wings dry with paper towels.
  • Season with salt, pepper, and optional flour for a crispier texture.

2️⃣ Cook wings

  • Oven method:
    • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
    • Place wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment.
    • Bake 40–45 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and cooked through.
  • Frying method:
    • Heat oil in a deep fryer or pot to 375°F (190°C).
    • Fry wings 10–12 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.

3️⃣ Make Buffalo sauce

  • Melt butter in a small saucepan.
  • Stir in hot sauce and optional seasonings. Remove from heat.

4️⃣ Coat wings

  • Toss cooked wings in the Buffalo sauce until evenly coated.

5️⃣ Serve

  • Serve immediately with celery sticks and blue cheese or ranch dressing.

Tips & Variations

  • Spicy level: Adjust hot sauce or add cayenne pepper.
  • Oven crispiness: Bake wings on a wire rack over the sheet pan.
  • Smoky flavor: Add smoked paprika or a dash of liquid smoke to the sauce.
  • Air fryer version: Cook wings at 380°F (193°C) for 25–30 minutes, shaking halfway.
