Posted on April 1, 2026 by Admin

A boiled egg is a simple and nutritious way to prepare eggs by cooking them in hot water until the whites and yolks reach the desired consistency.

🥚 Types of Boiled Eggs

  1. Soft-boiled – Cooked for 4–6 minutes
    • Runny yolk, slightly firm whites
  2. Medium-boiled – Cooked for 7–9 minutes
    • Creamy, partially set yolk
  3. Hard-boiled – Cooked for 10–12 minutes
    • Fully set yolk and firm whites

👩‍🍳 How to Boil an Egg

  1. Place eggs in a saucepan and cover with cold water.
  2. Bring to a gentle boil.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer for the desired time (see above).
  4. Transfer eggs to cold water to stop cooking and make peeling easier.
