Here’s a classic and creamy Banana Pudding recipe—sweet, comforting, and perfect for any dessert table 🍌🍮


Classic Banana Pudding

Ingredients (serves 6–8)

  • 4–5 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 box (about 3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk (optional for extra creaminess)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping or whipped cream
  • 1 box (about 11 oz) vanilla wafers

Instructions

  1. Prepare pudding
    • In a medium bowl, whisk together pudding mix and cold milk until thickened (about 2 minutes).
    • Optional: mix in sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract for extra richness.
  2. Layer ingredients
    • In a large dish or trifle bowl, layer vanilla wafers, sliced bananas, and pudding.
    • Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, ending with pudding on top.
  3. Top with whipped cream
    • Spread whipped topping evenly over the final pudding layer.
  4. Chill
    • Refrigerate at least 2–4 hours to let flavors meld and wafers soften slightly.
  5. Serve
    • Garnish with crushed wafers or banana slices before serving.

Tips & Variations

  • Mini versions: Make in small jars or cups for single servings.
  • Extra flavor: Sprinkle a little cinnamon or nutmeg on top.
  • Sturdier pudding: Mix pudding with cream cheese for a firmer texture.
  • Make ahead: Best made a few hours in advance or overnight.
