Ingredients

Instructions
1. Make the pudding
- In a medium saucepan, combine milk, sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Whisk until smooth.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and starts to bubble.
- In a separate bowl, whisk egg yolks. Gradually add a small amount of the hot mixture to the yolks to temper them, whisking constantly.
- Pour egg mixture back into the saucepan and cook 1–2 more minutes until thick.
- Remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla. Let cool slightly.
2. Assemble the pudding
- In a serving dish or individual cups, layer sliced bananas on the bottom.
- Pour a layer of pudding over the bananas.
- Repeat layers if desired.
- Top with whipped cream and optional garnish.
3. Chill & serve
- Refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving for best flavor and texture.
