Banana bread

Posted on December 29, 2025 by Admin

Here’s a classic Banana Bread recipe 🍌🍞—moist, sweet, and perfect for breakfast or a snack.

Ingredients (1 loaf)

  • 2–3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ¾ cup sugar (can use brown sugar for deeper flavor)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • Optional: ½ cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven
    • 350°F (175°C).
    • Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Mix wet ingredients
    • In a large bowl, combine mashed bananas, melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
  3. Combine dry ingredients
    • In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Mix together
    • Gently fold dry ingredients into wet mixture until just combined.
    • Stir in optional nuts or chocolate chips.
  5. Bake
    • Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.
    • Bake 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool & serve
    • Let bread cool in pan 10–15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
    • Slice and enjoy plain, with butter, or a drizzle of honey.

Tips & Variations

  • Extra moist: add ¼ cup sour cream or yogurt to the batter.
  • Spiced banana bread: add ½ tsp cinnamon or nutmeg.
  • Mini loaves or muffins: bake in muffin tins for 18–22 minutes or mini loaf pans for 30–35 minutes.
  • Storage: wrap tightly and keep at room temperature 2–3 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.

I can also give a quick one-bowl version or banana bread with cream cheese swirl if you want.
