Baked potato

Here’s a simple guide to make a perfect baked potato—crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy inside:


🥔 Baked Potato

🧂 Ingredients

  • 2–4 large potatoes (Russet or Idaho work best)
  • 1–2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt to taste

Optional toppings:
Butter, sour cream, shredded cheese, chives, bacon bits, or chili


👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Preheat oven
    • 200°C (400°F)
  2. Prepare the potatoes
    • Scrub clean and pat dry.
    • Prick each potato several times with a fork (prevents bursting).
  3. Season
    • Rub with olive oil and sprinkle with salt.
  4. Bake
    • Place directly on oven rack or baking tray.
    • Bake 45–60 minutes, until skin is crispy and a knife slides in easily.
  5. Serve
    • Slice open, fluff the inside with a fork, and add your favorite toppings.

🔹 Tips

  • Don’t wrap in foil if you want crispy skin.
  • Choose similar-sized potatoes for even cooking.
  • Optional: brush with herbed butter after baking for extra flavor.
