Baked garlic butter lobster tails
Here’s a simple, restaurant-style baked garlic butter lobster tails recipe 🦞🧄
Ingredients (serves 2–4)
- 2–4 lobster tails (4–6 oz each)
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 3–4 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp lemon zest (optional but great)
- 1 tsp paprika (smoked paprika is excellent)
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Prepare the lobster tails
- Using kitchen shears, cut through the top of the shell lengthwise.
- Gently pull the meat up and rest it on top of the shell (keep the base attached).
- Make garlic butter
- Mix melted butter, garlic, lemon juice, zest, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Season & bake
- Place lobster tails on a baking sheet lined with foil or parchment.
- Spoon garlic butter generously over the meat.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes, until the meat is opaque and internal temp reaches 140–145°F (60–63°C).
- Finish
- Sprinkle with fresh parsley.
- Serve immediately with lemon wedges and extra melted butter.
Pro Tips
- Don’t overcook—lobster turns rubbery fast.
- For extra color, broil for 1–2 minutes at the end.
- Add a pinch of red pepper flakes or Parmesan for a flavor boost.
- Serve with steakhouse sides: mashed potatoes, asparagus, or garlic bread.
