🫘 Homemade Baked Beans

Ingredients (serves 6–8)

  • 4 cups cooked navy beans
    (or 2 cans / 15 oz each, drained and rinsed)
  • ½ cup onion, finely chopped
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp molasses
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste

Optional add-ins

  • Cooked bacon pieces
  • Smoked sausage slices
  • Jalapeños or chili flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven
    • Preheat to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Mix sauce
    • In a bowl, combine ketchup, brown sugar, molasses, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Assemble
    • Place beans and onion in a baking dish.
    • Pour sauce over beans and stir gently.
  4. Bake
    • Cover and bake 45 minutes.
    • Uncover and bake another 20–30 minutes until thick and bubbly.
  5. Serve
    • Let rest 10 minutes before serving.
