Baby back ribs 🍖 are tender and flavorful when cooked low and slow. Here’s a simple, reliable way to make them at home.


Oven-Baked Baby Back Ribs

Ingredients

  • 1 rack baby back ribs
  • Salt & pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • BBQ sauce (optional)

Prep

  1. Heat oven to 150°C / 300°F.
  2. Remove the thin membrane from the back of the ribs (helps tenderness).
  3. Mix spices and rub all over the ribs.

Bake

  1. Wrap ribs tightly in foil.
  2. Place on a baking sheet and bake 2½–3 hours until very tender.

Finish

  1. Unwrap ribs, brush with BBQ sauce if using.
  2. Increase oven to 220°C / 425°F.
  3. Bake uncovered 10–15 minutes until lightly caramelized.

Optional Variations

  • Sweet: add brown sugar or honey to the rub
  • Spicy: add a little chili powder
  • No sauce: finish with butter and herbs instead

  • Garlic bread
  • Baked potatoes
