Here’s a straight-up classic, bakery-style cinnamon roll—soft, fluffy, and dripping with icing.

🍥 Classic Cinnamon Roll Recipe

Dough

  • 1 cup warm milk (about 110°F)
  • 2¼ tsp active dry yeast
  • ⅓ cup sugar
  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • 2 eggs (room temp)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4–4½ cups all-purpose flour

Cinnamon Filling

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2½ tbsp cinnamon
  • ⅓ cup butter, softened

Vanilla Icing

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2–3 tbsp milk

Instructions

  1. Mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Rest 5–10 min until foamy.
  2. Add butter, eggs, and salt.
  3. Mix in flour gradually to form a soft dough.
  4. Knead 6–8 minutes until smooth.
  5. Cover and rise 1–1½ hours until doubled.
  6. Roll into a rectangle. Spread butter, sprinkle sugar + cinnamon.
  7. Roll tight, slice into 9–12 rolls.
  8. Place in greased pan. Rise 30–45 min.
  9. Bake at 350°F for 20–25 minutes.
  10. Drizzle icing over warm rolls.
