🍯 Sweet & Sticky Chicken Drumsticks
Ingredients
- 8–10 chicken drumsticks
- Salt & pepper
- 1 tbsp oil
Sticky Sauce
- ½ cup honey
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 3 tbsp ketchup
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ginger (optional but great)
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar or lemon juice
Instructions (Oven Method)
- Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C). Line a baking pan with foil.
- Season drumsticks with salt & pepper. Lightly oil them.
- Bake uncovered for 35 minutes, flipping once.
- Meanwhile, mix sauce ingredients in a bowl.
- Brush sauce generously over drumsticks.
- Return to oven for 15–20 minutes, turning and basting every 5 minutes until dark, sticky, and caramelized.
- Rest 5 minutes (if you can wait 😅).
🔥 Optional Upgrades
- Spicy: add ½–1 tsp chili flakes or sriracha
- Asian-style: add 1 tsp sesame oil + sprinkle sesame seeds
- BBQ vibe: swap ketchup for BBQ sauce
- Cajun twist: add ½ tsp Cajun seasoning to the sauce
🍗 Air Fryer Option
- Cook at 380°F for 22–25 minutes, flipping halfway
- Brush sauce on during last 5–7 minutes
