Fish fillet

Posted on January 26, 2026 by Admin

Nice choice 😌 light, quick, and super versatile. Here’s a simple, foolproof fish fillet you can dress up or down.

🐟 Pan-Seared Fish Fillet (10–12 minutes)

Best fish: tilapia, cod, haddock, snapper, sole, or any firm white fish

Ingredients

  • 2–4 fish fillets
  • Salt & black pepper
  • ½ tsp paprika or Cajun seasoning (optional)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • Lemon wedges
  • Optional: garlic, fresh herbs (parsley, dill)

Instructions

  1. Pat fish dry (huge for a good sear).
  2. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika/Cajun if using.
  3. Heat a nonstick or stainless skillet over medium-high heat with oil/butter.
  4. Cook fish 3–4 minutes per side (don’t move it until it releases easily).
  5. Finish with a squeeze of lemon and herbs.

🔥 Easy flavor upgrades

  • Garlic butter: Add butter + minced garlic in the last minute
  • Crispy: Lightly dust fish with flour before cooking
  • Spicy: Drizzle with chili oil or sprinkle cayenne
  • Saucy: Top with tartar sauce, mango salsa, or lemon-caper butter

🍽️ Serve with

Rice, roasted potatoes, salad, or sautéed veggies.

Want it baked, air-fried, or crispy battered instead?
