🍖 Baked Baby Back Beef Ribs (Fall-Apart Tender)
Ingredients
- 2–3 lbs baby back beef ribs
- Salt & black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp chili powder (optional)
- ½ cup BBQ sauce (your favorite)
- 2 tbsp honey or brown sugar (optional, for sticky vibes)
- 1–2 tbsp apple cider vinegar or Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 300°F / 150°C (low and slow is the secret).
- Prep ribs: Remove the membrane on the bone side if it’s still on. Pat dry.
- Season generously with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic, onion, and chili powder.
- Place ribs bone-side down on a foil-lined baking sheet.
- Seal tightly with foil (very important—steam = tenderness).
- Bake for 2½–3 hours until meat is tender and pulling from the bones.
- Sauce time: Uncover, brush with BBQ sauce mixed with honey and vinegar.
- Caramelize: Increase oven to 425°F / 220°C and bake uncovered 10–15 minutes, or broil 3–5 minutes until sticky and charred (watch closely!).
🔥 Pro tips
- If you want smoky flavor, add ½ tsp liquid smoke to the sauce
- Rest 10 minutes before cutting so juices stay put
- Finish on the grill if you want extra char
