Ham and cheese sticks

Here’s a quick and tasty Ham and Cheese Sticks recipe 🧀🥓


Ingredients (makes ~12 sticks)

  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough or puff pastry
  • 12 slices of deli ham
  • 12 sticks of mozzarella or cheddar cheese (or cut cheese slices into sticks)
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • Optional: grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven
    • 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare dough
    • Unroll dough and separate into triangles (if using crescent dough) or cut into strips if using puff pastry.
  3. Assemble sticks
    • Place a slice of ham and a cheese stick on the wide end of each triangle or at one end of each strip.
    • Roll tightly, tucking ends to seal.
  4. Season
    • Brush sticks with melted butter mixed with garlic powder and Italian seasoning.
    • Sprinkle Parmesan cheese if desired.
  5. Bake
    • 12–15 minutes until golden brown and cheese is melted.
  6. Serve
    • Best warm, with marinara, honey mustard, or ranch for dipping.

Tips & Variations

  • Cheese options: Swiss, provolone, or pepper jack for different flavors.
  • Extra flavor: Add a thin layer of mustard or cream cheese inside before rolling.
  • Air fryer: 350°F for 8–10 minutes works well.
  • Make ahead: Freeze assembled sticks and bake directly from frozen with a few extra minutes.
