BLT Sandwich

Ingredients (Serves 1)

  • 2 slices of bread (white, whole wheat, or sourdough)
  • 3–4 slices cooked bacon
  • 2–3 leaves fresh lettuce (Romaine, Iceberg, or your choice)
  • 2–3 slices ripe tomato
  • 1–2 tsp mayonnaise (or more, to taste)
  • Optional: salt & pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon:
    • Fry in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, or bake at 400Β°F (200Β°C) for 15–20 minutes on a parchment-lined sheet.
    • Drain on paper towels.
  2. Toast the bread:
    • Lightly toast the slices until golden brown for extra crunch.
  3. Assemble the sandwich:
    • Spread mayonnaise on one or both slices of toast.
    • Layer lettuce, tomato slices (season with a pinch of salt & pepper if desired), and bacon.
    • Top with the second slice of bread.
  4. Serve:
    • Cut in half diagonally and enjoy immediately.
