Meatloaf

Here’s a classic, juicy Meatloaf recipe 🍖


Ingredients (serves ~4–6)

  • 1 ½ lb ground beef (or a mix of beef & pork)
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Optional: ½ tsp paprika or dried herbs

Optional Topping

  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven
    350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare meatloaf
    • In a bowl, mix ground meat, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
    • Shape into a loaf and place in a greased 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  3. Add topping (optional)
    • Mix ketchup and brown sugar and spread over the top of the loaf.
  4. Bake
    55–65 minutes until cooked through (internal temp 160°F / 71°C).
  5. Rest & serve
    Let meatloaf rest 5–10 minutes before slicing. Serve with mashed potatoes, vegetables, or gravy.

Tips

  • Use 80/20 ground beef for juicier meatloaf.
  • Can add chopped bell peppers, mushrooms, or shredded cheese to the mix.
  • Leftovers make great sandwiches the next day.

I can also give a slow-cooker version, stuffed cheesy meatloaf, or individual mini meatloaves if you want.
